Who are Johnstone Insurance Brokers Ltd?
Johnstone Insurance Brokers Ltd are insurance brokers registered and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under Firm Reference No. 452604. Roger Johnstone founded the business in 1983 as a 'Sole Trader' and the business has developed through a partnership stage to the private limited company status shown in the heading.
The current directors, Chris Harper, Mark Broome and Mike Williams have (frighteningly!) around 75 years experience between them and many of the staff have been with the company for 15 to 20 years.
We are a community broker dealing with all types of general insurance. We are the only locally owned independent broker in Scunthorpe so that is our main trading area but we handle clients all over the UK.
As part of the Willis Commercial Network we have the clout of a large broker but retain an ethos of care that some bigger organisations seem to lose sight of.
What is insurance premium tax (ipt)?
IPT is charged by HM Revenue & Customs. It is currently set at 5% for General Insurance Policies increasing to 20% for Travel Insurance policies.
What are your office hours?
9.00 to 5.00 Monday to Friday Our directors are however always available for clients by mobile phone and e-mail.
